Pooters Makelaardij is a member of the 'association of brokers and appraisers' VBO, the trade association for brokers and appraisers in real estate. This distinguishes Pooters Makelaardij and we see the appointment as a special appreciation of quality and integrity.
With approximately 1000 members, VBO is the second largest sector organization in the Netherlands in terms of size. VBO was established to serve as a quality mark towards the consumer and as certainty towards the lender that the broker / appraiser is authorized to value. They thus meet the requirements of lenders, such as banks and insurance companies. In addition, these brokers and appraisers are recognized by Stichting Waarborgfonds Eigen Woning and the Vereniging Eigen Huis.
Partly due to the high requirements, not every broker can become a member of VBO just like that. For example, the broker must meet requirements regarding craftsmanship, reputation and training. The broker must be in possession of a broker's diploma and have a positive reputation. The board checks this by means of a peer review. The broker must also adhere to the conditions and code of conduct of VBO. Certified brokers and appraisers meet the strict requirements set by European Standard 45013. These are drawn up by a certifying institution. Certified brokers and appraisers meet the strict requirements set by European Standard 45013. These are drawn up by a certifying institution.
